Breathe Deep, Dream Big
Our goal is to showcase the skills, experiences, and achievements earned by your past innovation, creativity, and dedication. We create resumes, CVs, and more, to best promote your voice in an already noisy world.
The only thing you need to do is say hello. Tell us about the job you want: the future you deserve.
(Pssst – watch the video below if you don’t feel like reading this page! )
It’s great to meet you.
Welcome to Always Brave Creative. We can guess how you’re feeling, visiting this page. Perhaps you can barely sit still – the perfect position just opened up and you can’t wait to apply! Or, maybe it’s hard to do anything but sit at the moment… maybe you’re here only because you don’t know where else to go. It’s tough out there. We know.
But we’ve got this.
Although we serve a diverse range of private, industry, and public sector professionals, we often find our clients come to us with common problems. Do any of these problems sound like yours?
Problem 1
Lack of Time
You’re a go-getter, and that’s exactly why you know you’d rock your next position. The thing is, who has time to apply for new when they’re already so busy performing in their current position?
Problem 2
Document Complexity
Your career history is unique, and that makes your resume or CV difficult to generate. Perhaps you’re switching industries or re-entering the workforce after an extended leave. It can feel overwhelming to tackle this problem.
Problem 3
Writing Skill
Nowhere in your current job description does it require you to be a writer as well as an industry-specific expert, but despite your focused skillset, a strong resume is still necessary to get your foot in the door.
You’ve come to the right place…
With hundreds of successful clients served, ten years of resume-preparation experience, and multiple writing awards, the team at Always Brave Creative, led by author Katie Bickell, is well-versed in tackling these problems and many more. We help executive-level professionals organize and condense their lengthy files, assist caregivers in their re-entry into the traditional workforce, and make tradespeople into wordsmiths. Whatever feels impossible right now, you can leave to us.
But first, do you need a Resumé or CV?
While resume is a universal term, many clients in the mid to advanced stages of their career actually need a CV. You will know best what kind of document your industry calls for, but here’s a brief breakdown:
Resumé
- A one-page document that is generally best for trades or entry-level positions, or positions that require a concise snapshot.
CV
- A more comprehensive and complex document, best for positions in middle management or higher, and in industries like education, healthcare, social work, emergency services, adult education, etc. These are usually two pages, sometimes three.
Designed, or ATS-Friendly?
We offer two kinds of documents: Designed Resumes & CVs, and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Friendly. You can order an ATS document by itself, or as a discounted add-on to a Designed Resume or CV service.
Designed
- This service incorporates graphic design meant to “wow” the recipient. A perfect option when applying for positions through direct email.
ATS-Friendly
- This service is best for job-seekers who will submit their resume through online job banks, and whose document may go through an automated system before reaching the employer.

So What’s Next?
The Process
If you are interested in a specific position, it’s helpful to send us a link to the job opening or screenshots of the job ad. Likewise, if you have an older copy of your resume, it is helpful to send that our way too. Our team will then follow up either by email or phone with any additional questions we might have about your experience, and away we go!
If you don’t have a resume to send in, the next best way to gather information is a phone interview; we will set up a time to chat with you through Zoom (you can decide whether you’d like us to use video or simply audio to connect). Alternatively, you can fill out our Resume Questionnaire. If you have the following documents, they can also be helpful in the preparation of your resume or CV:
- Old resumes
- Links or screenshots of open job positions you’re interested in applying for
- Letters of recommendation
- List of references
- Lists of awards
- Lists of publications
- Lists of certificates
- Old job descriptions
If you don’t have an old resume to send us, the next best way for us to gather information is through a Zoom interview (audio or video interview optional). Alternatively, ask about our Resume Questionnaire and we’ll send you a copy of the fillable PDF as an email attachment.
Upon receipt of the above documents, you can expect a reply to your inquiry within 24 hours, but usually much sooner than that. At this point, we will let you know what the next steps are and what the timeline will be to complete your documents.
We’re proud to keep a guaranteed turnaround time of seven business days from receiving client information to the delivery of the final product (But often, we’re much faster)
After we collect your information, we’ll get to work on drafting your document. Upon completion of the first draft, we’ll consult as a team and draw on all of Always Brave Creative’s skills to make your document as strong as possible. After our in-house consultation is complete, the first draft will be sent to your email inbox.
We know how proud and excited you’ll feel as you read about the career you’ve built and the potential of what is yet to come, but remember: you lived this story – we just wrote it.
Go through the draft a few times. Is anything missing? Often, the first draft jogs the memory. What would you add or take away? The limits are endless; there is no charge for editing and no file is ever complete without 100% client approval.
Once the final draft is approved, an invoice will be delivered to you. Upon payment, we will deliver the final, unmarked copy of your document, along with a thank you package and all materials necessary to edit the document in the future.
